Fauxtastic was started in 2006 by Certified Faux Painter/Artist Daryl Laube. Daryl is a member of the IDAL (International Decorative Artisans League) and is certified in the following advanced faux painting techniques:

·         European Cabinet Finishes

·         RS paint and plaster

·         Stenciling

·         Counter, flooring, and 3D building system by Granicrete

Daryl has also been trained by the following nationally renowned Artisans and Designers :

·         Martin Alan Hirsch of the Decorative Finishing Studio, Kentucky

·         Andre Martinez of Faux Design Center, Colorado

·         Jennifer Ferguson of Artistic Painting Studio, California

·         Mindy Harrell of Fauxassured Studio, Utah

In the fall of 2008 Daryl traveled to Italy with Martin Alan Hirsch on an art tour which included research in the Italian style of decorative painting.
